Overview
Imagine you could walk back in time, and every three foot stride took you back 500 years; Take one step and you are back to the time of Christopher Columbus sailing the seas and discovering new lands. Take two more steps and you have arrived in time to witness the collapse of the great Roman Empire. An additional six steps takes you to Egypt where incense fills the air and you witness the construction of the Great Pyramids.
Keep walking 56 additional miles and you will be entering the Eocene epoch; Wyoming is a tropical climate and the Rocky Mountains are young, and these fish are swimming in a lake that will become the site of the Green River quarry. This quarry is known for excavating the most beautiful fresh water fossils in the world.
